Michael Sarantinos, Managing Director.

Dr. Michael Sarantinos, Greek and British citizen, was born in Athens, Greece in 1961. From 1979 till 1984 he studied Computer Science in the National Technical University of Athens. From 1985 till 1986 he attended as visiting Scholar in Stanford University, CA, USA, participating in the developing team of the Metafont project, a tool for the design of computer fonts. From 1986 till 1992 he worked as a Research Assistant in Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, in London, UK, writing his Ph.D. on the Computer Visualisation of Scientific Data. In 1992 he setup ICON Ltd, a London based company specializing in computer graphics, multimedia, Internet and CFD applications. Since January 2000 he is the managing director and main shareholder of STEFICON SA. Parallel to the above, from 1996 till 2000, he worked as a consultant of the British Ministry of Education on issues regarding the education of Multimedia and Internet in British Universities, and from 2000 till 2002 he was the General Manager of Pegasus Interactive.


Simon Weston, General Manager, ICON Ltd.

Simon Weston, British citizen, was born in London, UK in 1972. He studied Computational Physics in the university of Canterbury, UK. From 1996 till 1997 he completed his MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering in Imperial College, University of London, UK. The last year of his studies he spent in Paris University, as an exchange student participating in the Erasmus programme. Since 1998 he has been working as an applications programmer, web programmer and project manager for STEFICON in the UK, managing projects for customers such as VW, AUDI, Airbus, Procter & Gamble, PC Magazine, Mothercare, Expo 98 etc. Since March 2000 he is the General Manager and shareholder of STEFICON’s branch in London. He speaks English (mother tongue) and is fluent in French.


Panagiotis Tsoris, Manager of Public sector IT Projects

Born in Athens in 1967. Graduated from Ethniko Metsoveio Politehneio as an electrical engineer (IT concentration) in 1995. From 1995 till 1998 he worked as a programmer and web designer in the companies Citynet and Archimedia. From 1998 till 2004 he worked in European Dynamics as a systems analyst and later as a project and technical manager for research and commerce related projects. Some of these projects are the IST Projects: EPI-SPARK (IST-1999-10392):“Enhanced Protection of IPR by Streamlined Provision of Access to Regulatory Knowledge”, LIAISE (IST-1999-10390):”Local Intelligent Agent as Informed Sales Expert”, IRIS (IST-2000-26211):”Incorporating Requirements of People with Special Needs or Impairments to Internet-based Systems and Services”, ICTE-PAN (IST-2001-35120): “Methodologies and Tools for Building Intelligent Collaboration and Transaction Environments in Public Administration Networks”, Project – SATINE (IST-1-002104-STP): “Semantic-based Interoperability Infrastructure for Integrating Web Service Platforms to Peer-to-Peer Networks” and the E-one vortal of Eleytherotypia newspaper.

Since 2004 he is employed in Steficon as Manager of public sector projects with main responsibilities to create proposals and run projects such as ELIA (Ethniki Pinakothiki) etc


Andreas Vouros, Account Manager

Andreas joined Steficon in 2006. His responsibilities include strategic and media planning, project management and new business development. Prior to joining Steficon he worked for Multichoice SA the only Digital Satellite TV provider in Greece where he was responsible for all internet operations. Prior to that, he held the position of Client Service manager in Powernet SA. He holds a Bsc in mathematics and Management from Imperial College. He is married and has a young son.


Katia Vlantika, Account Manager

Katia was born in Athens in 1980. In 2002 she graduated from University of Hertfordshire UK with the degree BSc in Software Systems for the Arts and Media, and in 2005 she completed her postgraduate study in University of Westminster, UK acquiring the degree MSc in Interactive Multimedia. She worked in London for one year as freelancer web designer, and as Account Executive undertaking web sites. Returning to Greece she worked in the company BAK Advertising as a multimedia/web project manager. From August 2005 until today she works in Steficon, as an account manager, for clients such as, Superfast ferries S.A, Attica Group, Kosmocar S.A (Audi, Volkswagen), Mercedes Benz Hellas, Classical Hotels, Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, Santa Marina Hotels,Vivartia S.A., Attica department store, Atos Origin Spain, British Airways.


Charalampos Manologlou, Creative Director

Charalambos Manologlou was born in Frankfurt in 1970. From 1997 until 2000 he worked as an Art director in Foundation of Hellenic World. From 2001 until May 2002 he worked as a Creative director at Velos Advertising, a Cyprus based advertising agency. At Sept. 2002 he Co-Founded Ad4U advertising, a Cyprus based advertising agency, which he ran until 2008. Since Jan 2009 he is working in Steficon as a Creative director and Head of Creative Department.


Yannis Moniaros, IT Manager

Yannis is the IT manager of STEFICON and is responsible for technical innovation. He oversees the conceptualisation, development and delivery of solutions across selected technology platforms. Yannis’s leadership and expertise is critical to STEFICON and has formed its processes relating to deliverables such as information architecture, business requirements definition and site flow development. Yannis has been instrumental in the development of some of our product solutions, including CORE CMS and his keen spirit of innovation in this area has allowed us to grow from strength to strength.
Yannis holds a B.Sc. in Computing and Telecommunications, a M.A.in Electronic Media and a M.Sc. in Web Technologies.


Panagiotis Sampanis, Web Author

Born in Athens, he went to Thessaloniki in 1993 to study Physics at the Aristotle University, but dropped out to do web design and development full time. He worked as a production manager for eXta and flash-developer for pointblank, both in Thessaloniki. He came back to Athens in 2005 and started working in Steficon in 2006 where he works to this day.


Menelaos Tondis, Web Author

Menelaos joined Steficon in 2007. His responsibilities include image, video, flash editing and html, css, actionscpript coding. Prior to joining Steficon he was a skipper and the manager of “Island hopping”, a sailing yacht charter company based in Athens. In 2004 he was introduced to the world wide web and loved it ever since. Doesn't hold any degree, but somehow, he always completes any given task successfully.


Manos Malihutsakis, Web designer

Manos (aka malihu or "teh Bomb") was born in Athens on a Monday morning off 1975. He studied various arts such as painting and music and dropped-out even more including Computer Science (NYC) in order to work full-time as web designer back in 1997. He has worked as a web designer, web author, flash developer and php programmer for various companies as well as a freelancer ever since. He joined Steficon in 2008 where his responsibilities include web page design, flash design, animation, action-script and trying desperately to be funny.


Christina Iliopoulou, Web designer

She was born in Piraeus in 1982. She has a degree in graphic design. Started working in various design studios firstly as a graphic designer and as years went by fell in love with web design. She joined Steficon’ s team in 2009 where her responsibilities include web design and flash design.


Alexandros Georgakopoulos, Web Author

Born in Athens, Greece in 1986. He went to Glasgow, Scotland in 2005 to study History, but dropped out to follow his talent in Computer Science. He joined Steficon in 2008 and his main field of work is the development of Flash games for below the line advertising companies.


Antonis Varzakakos, Web Author

Antonis (aka Kokkoras) was born in Piraeus in 1976. He has worked as a php programmer and flash developer for various companies. He holds a MSc and a BSc in Multimedia Computing. He joined Steficon in 2008. His responsibilities in Steficon include php, flash and director programming and generally everything it has to do with programming.


Akis Verillis, Developer

Akis Verillis was born in Mytilene at 1985. He has studied Electric and Computing Engineering at National Technological University of Athens from 2003 till 2010. during his studies, he started working as web developer at Human Factor, a company which was creating web applications related to HR at 2008. He joined Steficon at 2009 where his responsibilities include web development, using php, asp, javascript, jQueries, mySQL, MSSQL and T-SQL.


Katerina Stathopoulou, Accounting

Steficon is lucky to have Katerina taking care of its payments and accounts management and doing HR, always taking the side of the employee, since 2000. Before that, she was Account Manager in large civil engineering and construction projects, for the Ntouzas & Polychronis Construction Company, in Athens.


Georgios Panayiotou, Developer

Georgios has a degree in Computer Science and is a web developer for Steficon. He is involved in many different types of projects, from personal homepages, to dynamic corporate websites and complex electronic commerce solutions. Before joining Steficon in 2007, he worked for a brief time in G Cell Software, a small company based in the UK, making Java Games for mobile phones.


Ilias Polychroniadis, System Administrator

Ilias was born in Athens in 1983. In 2006 he graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (Engineering Department – Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications) and he is now completing his postgraduate studies on Information Technology at the University of the West of Scotland. During his studies he worked as a trainee engineer for Vodafone Greece, and as a computer seminar teacher in the cultural center of municipality of Psychiko. In 2006 he moved to Geneva in order to join the Greek Hardware Commissioning team for the LHC Cryogenics at CERN. He also worked as a CERN’s work supervisor for the installation of the fire-fighting system for the protection of CMS electronics racks in the underground counting rooms. He joined Steficon on November 2007 and his responsibilities include the system administration of the company's Web - Data - DB - Mail servers , the internal IT support and induction of new staff on IT systems, the customers technical support, SEO, and email marketing.


Dionysios Dasios, Web Developer/System Administrator

Born in Pirgos in 1980. He studied Electrical Engineering in Polytechnic department of Patras University and graduated in 2007. Before joining Steficon in May 2009, he had a 18-month working experience in web programming languages based on LAMP software, in Linux administration and in technical support. His duties in Steficon are web development, scripts and applications implementation and administration of some of Steficon's Linux servers.


Stergios Kianidis, Web author

Stergios was born in Vancouver in 1975. He has been working as a web author since 2000. His skills include converting web design mockups into valid - semantic web pages, making sure they are accessible and adding interactivity to them through the use of Javascript libraries (Jquery). He joined Steficon in 2006.


Romina Moutou

Born in Athens in 1982. Studied Applied Informatics and Multimedia at the Technological Institute of Crete and Sound Engineering at Reaction Studios, Athens. Joined Steficon in 2006 and she is a proud web author.
